AHA Lëtzebuerg unterstützt die internationale Spendenkampagne für den Sacharow-Preisträger des Europäischen Parlaments: Solidarität mit Raif Badawi und seiner Familie!
Es hat uns gefreut als wir erfahren haben, dass Raif Badawi am 11. März 2022 endlich aus dem Gefängnis entlassen wurde. Traurig waren wir allerdings darüber, dass er Saudi-Arabien immer (noch) nicht verlassen darf und immer (noch) von seiner Frau und Familie getrennt ist.
Raif Badawi und seine Frau Ensaf Haidar mussten für die Verteidigung von Religionsfreiheit, Demokratie und Menschenrechte einen hohen Preis zahlen. Er wurde damals in Saudi- Arabien zu 10 Jahren Haft, 1000 Peitschenhieben und einem Strafgeld in Höhe von umgerechnet 235.000 Euro verurteilt. Sie musste aus Saudi-Arabien fliehen, um für ihre eigene Sicherheit und die ihrer Kinder zu sorgen.
Dafür wurden sie symbolisch in vielfacher Weise geehrt (u.a. mit dem Sacharow-Preis des Europäischen Parlaments), doch von Ehre allein kann weder das Strafgeld aufgebracht werden noch seine Familie leben. Aus diesem Grund ist nun die Zivilgesellschaft gefordert, sie finanziell und moralisch zu unterstützen und Solidarität mit Raif Badawi und seiner Familie zu zeigen.
AHA Lëtzebuerg ist diesem Aufruf der Giordano-Bruno-Stiftung (im Verbund mit anderen Organisationen) gefolgt und hat sich mit einer Spende von 500€ an der Kampagne beteiligt. Mit dieser Spende helfen wir Raif und seiner Familie das Strafgeld aufzubringen, damit er nicht erneut in Haft muss, sondern wieder mit Frau und Kindern vereint sein kann.
Wir rufen alle Bürger in Luxemburg dazu auf, sich an dieser internationalen Spendenkampagne zu beteiligen: Bitte helfen auch Sie Raif, seiner Frau Ensaf Haidar und den drei Kindern, endlich wieder ein gemeinsames Leben in Freiheit und Sicherheit führen zu können! AHA Lëtzebuerg soutient la campagne internationale de collecte de dons pour le lauréat du Prix Sakharov du Parlement européen: Solidarité avec Raif Badawi et sa famille!
Nous avons été ravis d'apprendre que Raif Badawi a finalement été libéré de prison le 11 mars 2022. Nous avons toutefois été attristés d'apprendre qu'il n'est toujours pas (encore) autorisé à quitter l'Arabie saoudite et qu'il est toujours (encore) séparé de sa femme et de sa famille.
Raif Badawi et sa femme Ensaf Haidar ont payé un lourd tribut pour avoir défendu la liberté de religion, la démocratie et les droits de l'homme. Il avait alors été condamné en Arabie saoudite à 10 ans de prison, 1000 coups de fouet et une amende équivalente à 235.000 euros. Elle a dû fuir l'Arabie saoudite pour assurer sa propre sécurité et celle de ses enfants.
De nombreux honneurs symboliques leur ont été rendus pour cela (notamment le prix Sakharov du Parlement européen), mais l'honneur seul ne permet pas de payer l'amende ni de faire vivre sa famille. C'est pourquoi la société civile est appelée à les soutenir financièrement et moralement et à faire preuve de solidarité envers Raif Badawi et sa famille.
AHA Lëtzebuerg a répondu à cet appel de la Giordano-Bruno-Stiftung (en association avec d'autres organisations) et a participé à la campagne en faisant un don de 500€. Avec ce don, nous aidons Raif et sa famille à payer l'amende, afin qu'il ne soit pas à nouveau emprisonné, mais qu'il puisse à nouveau être réuni avec sa femme et ses enfants.
Nous appelons tous les citoyens luxembourgeois à participer à cette campagne internationale de dons: Aidez Raif, sa femme Ensaf Haidar et leurs trois enfants à retrouver enfin une vie commune en liberté et en sécurité! De petites contributions suffisent. Participez vous aussi!

AHA Lëtzebuerg supports the international fundraising campaign for the Sakharov Prize winner of the European Parliament: Solidarity with Raif Badawi and his family!
We were happy to learn that Raif Badawi was finally released from prison on 11 March 2022. However, we were saddened that he is still (still) not allowed to leave Saudi Arabia and is still (still) separated from his wife and family.
Raif Badawi and his wife Ensaf Haidar had to pay a high price for defending religious freedom, democracy, and human rights. At the time, he was sentenced in Saudi Arabia to 10 years in prison, 1000 lashes and a fine equivalent to 235,000 euros. She had to flee Saudi Arabia to provide for her own safety and that of her children.
They were symbolically honoured for this in many ways (among others with the Sakharov Prize of the European Parliament), but neither the fine nor his family can live on honour alone. For this reason, civil society is now called upon to support them financially and morally and to show solidarity with Raif Badawi and his family.
AHA Lëtzebuerg has followed this call of the Giordano-Bruno-Stiftung (in association with other organisations) and has contributed to the campaign with a donation of 500€. With this donation, we will help Raif and his family to raise the fine so that he does not have to go back to prison but can be reunited with his wife and children.
